Trust is hard to come by

Kinda like true friends these days.

But even though it takes two to Tango

Someone’s gotta make the first move.

When a dog decides to trust you 

They aren’t afraid to show it.

They roll over and 

Show you their belly,

And we shower them with affection.           

Wouldn’t it be nice if humans

Could be so pure with one another?

Wouldn’t it be great if I could tell you

That if you let me down it’s gonna hurt, but

That if you’re always honest with me

You’ll never let me down.

When I fall

Are you gonna laugh at me?

Or will you help me up

While we laugh together?

And when I’m dancing like David

Will you mock and shame me?

Or will you dance and sing along?

Don’t take this the wrong way

But we should be more like dogs.

We should be brave and honest with one another.

We should preserve the purity of trust.
